Easter 2017

Many people would probably consider the Bible to be a largely historical book. Depending on their particular point of view, they might also consider it to be a largely (or wholly) mythical book. But what does the Bible say about itself? There are many verses on that subject, but today, a day on which we traditionally remember Christ’s resurrection, I came across this:

“Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:30–31).

Have you considered that the Bible could be a personal message and invitation to you?
